Cookie Policy | Personal Driver Cluj

Acest document este disponibil și în limba română. Versiunea română este cea care produce efecte juridice.
In short: this site uses exactly one cookie, which remembers the language you want to read the pages in. We have no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels and we do not follow visitors from one site to another. That is why you will not see a consent banner here, there is nothing to ask you about.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a very small text file that a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or between visits. Some cookies are necessary for the site to work; others measure traffic or serve advertising. Only the second kind requires your consent.
2. Cookies used by this site
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
lang |
Remembers the language you chose for the site, so you do not have to pick it on every visit. | 1 year | Functional (strictly necessary) |
This is the only cookie the site sets for visitors. It is a first-party cookie, nobody else
reads it, and it contains no personal data, just a two-letter language code such as
ro or en.
Under Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and Guidelines 2/2023 of the European Data Protection Board, a cookie that stores a user-selected language preference is exempt from the consent requirement.
3. What we do NOT use
- No Google Analytics or any other cookie-based traffic analysis tool.
- No Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel or other advertising tags.
- No remarketing or profiling cookies.
- No social media widgets loading code from Facebook or Instagram. The links to our profiles are plain links: they transmit nothing until you click them.
4. How we count visitors, without cookies
We still want to know how many people visit the site. To do that, instead of setting a cookie, we combine your IP address and browser type with the current date and a secret key, and immediately turn the result into an irreversible code. We store only the code, never the IP address. The code changes every day, so we cannot link today's visit to tomorrow's, and we cannot reconstruct the IP address from it. Nothing is written to your device.
5. External services that may receive your IP address
A few components of the site are delivered by external services. They do not set cookies on our site, but, like any resource loaded from another server, they receive your IP address when your browser requests them:
- Google Fonts: the fonts used in the text.
- jsDelivr: the flags in the language switcher.
- Cloudflare: site delivery and protection against attacks.
- Mapbox, OpenStreetMap and OSRM: only on the Prices page, when you use the calculator: they receive the addresses you type in order to compute the route.
Details about these transfers are in our Privacy Policy.
6. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
If you delete the lang cookie, the only effect is that the site will no longer
remember your chosen language. Nothing else breaks.
7. Changes
If we ever add cookies that require consent, we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism before setting them and we will update this page.
