How a ride works

The right seat, fitted before we reach you. You get in and go.

  1. 1 When booking, tell us the age, height and weight of the child, or children, if there is more than one.
  2. 2 We pick the right seat from our own equipment: an infant carrier, a harnessed seat or a backless booster.
  3. 3 We fit the seat before we reach you, so no time is lost at pick-up.
  4. 4 You travel, and at the end you pay the normal fare: the seat costs nothing extra.

What the fare includes

  • Seats approved to ECE R44/04 or i-Size (R129), checked before every ride
  • Fitted by us, before pick-up
  • No surcharge, however many seats are needed
  • An infant carrier for newborns, including for hospital discharge

Frequently asked questions

What does Romanian law say about carrying children?
Children under 12, or shorter than 150 cm, may not travel in the front seat. Children shorter than 135 cm must be carried in an approved restraint system suited to their weight and height. We follow the rule on every ride and tell you in advance which seat is right.
Does the child seat cost extra?
No. The seat is included in the fare, however many are needed. The only condition is that you tell us the child’s age and weight when booking, so we can prepare the right one.
Can I request a child seat even for a last-minute booking?
Yes, in most cases. If we have the right seat available, we fit it even for a ride booked shortly in advance. Tell us the child's age right when you call, so we can prepare everything as quickly as possible.
If I book "Driver with your own car," do I still get a child seat from you?
Yes. Even though the driver takes your car, they can bring and fit a seat from our own stock, free of charge, just like on any other ride. Tell us the child's age and weight when booking.
What happens if the fitted seat doesn't suit the child?
The driver checks the fit before departure, which is exactly why we ask for age and weight when booking. If something's still not right, we swap the seat on the spot, if we have another suitable one in the car, or adjust as we go.
How do you drive with children in the car?
Differently. No sharp acceleration or braking, with extra stops on request if the journey is long. The drivers who carry small children are the same ones who do the maternity transport, so they have the practice.
